EAGALA
Beaver Creek Ranch
We partner with Joshua Learning Centre and their mental health professionals in our EAGALA program.

EAGALA team
Solution oriented approach where clients discover their own
answers, with the help from a team consisting of: the horse,
mental health professional and equine specialist.
Different from Equine Assisted Learning
(where horses always have a halter and lead rope) our horses are
allowed to roam free in the arena and interact with the clients.
This method is effective when talk therapy is not working, they
have the opportunity to learn by doing. The horse offers an
opportunity to mirror one's issues and make them more tangible.
Clients see problems more objectively and have the opportunity
to make positive change and find solutions in their lives.
In both EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) and EAGALA (Equine
Assisted Growth And Learning) horses are used for growth,
learning and healing. They help clients
improve
self-esteem, build confidence, communication, relationships and
social awareness.
